The Omens new release is on it's way. The Record release show is gonna happen on February 27th at The Hi-Dive in Denver with none other than The Overcasters and Hawks and Doves. Gonna be a good time indeed! The new Omens record entitled "Send Black Flowers" on Hipsville records will be available on LP/CD in stores Monday March 2nd. Distribution will be handled by the good folks at Revolver, Get Hip Records, and Soundflat Distribution in Europe.


February 10th, 2009. HEY HEY HEY! The Omens are back from our european dates! Thanks so much to everyone that came out to the shows. We all had a really good time. Also special thanks to those that helped make the trip happen for us, fed us, put a roof over our heads and hung out with us. Mucho thanks to Robert at Kiss and Run for everything. We hope to do it again soon!


January, 10th, 2009, The Omens european send off and single release party is set to happen this Friday January 16th at the Larimer Lounge in Denver and what a show it's gonna be with Eyes and Ears, Nicotine Fits and Outta Controllers! Make the scene!


December 10th, 2008. The Omens are really raising hell this month and it's only just begun!For starters, there is a new single coming out, Another limited one-"Look Away" b/w "Gonna Be Alright". Hand numbered on white and green splatter vinyl. To top it all off the new sleeve art is being inked by none other than Derin Merinuk! So get one while you can! The band has a show tonight with King Kahn and BBQ and new dates have been added for our upcoming european trip. Sept 6th, 2008...The Omens latest single is now hitting stores and radio. We're already seeing airplay on some of the hip radio stations throughout the USA and even Canada is getting on board! But the real big news at Omens central is the return of Forest Bartosh back as the drummer for The Omens!! Great news indeed!

As if that isn't enough, The Omens have just received word that they will be returning to Europe in early January. Right now it looks like the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland and France are on the map but we should have dates and more detailed info coming soon so keep checking back. In the meantime pickup the new single and catch the band in September at a few shows closer to home. August 4th, 2008...The Omens latest single "Make It Last b/w Won't Be Ashamed". Is set for release on Hipsville Records! The record will be available in stores on August 15th and distributed by the good folks at Get Hip Records in the USA and Soundflat Records in Europe so be sure and get yours! Limited and numbered edition of 250 on speaker pulsating purple swirl vinyl! ~Yeah Baybee!


June 17th 2008...The Omens will take the stage at the Bluebird Theatre this Friday June 20th with not one but two legendary Denver bands. BOSS 302 is playing their first show in years. As if that is not enough Subpop recording stars THE FLUID will make their official return to Denver before jetting to the Northwest for the Subpop Records 20th Anniversary show in July. Don't be a knucklehead and miss this show!


*********be Catch the Omens as they run through the Pacific Northwest in July!! Before that they will play the WESTWORD Music Showcase on Saturday June 16th in Downtown Denver. The band goes on just before Dinosaur Jr. on the Acoma stage. Details at Eleven so in the meantime turn it up eleven!!

The July issue of NERVE magazine will feature a steamy interview with The Omens be sure and check it out. In the meantime REAL GONE Records is hard at work with the production of the bands latest single and a REMASTERED REISSUE of the original Destroy the ESP release.

The Omens are TOPS for 2006 according to the Rocky Mountain News who says... TOP ROCK AND ROLL BAND 2006 Why it's tops: The formula is simple: Take neck-snapping guitar riffs, add howls, fat drums and a menacing organ. Mix, then rock. The Omens read the recipe. This foursome takes elements of some of the best early garage rock (Stooges, Question Mark & The Mysterians) marries them to a hedonistic snarl and turns the volume knob past 11.

Well Well Well!, A few local Colorado shows coming up including a Friday the 13th(October) show at The Irish Rover. The Rover has laid down the gauntlet for the band to perform their own brand of traditional drinking songs so this will be one to remember.

The Omens have a new single coming out in a few weeks and then a trip off to San Francisco for the 5th Annual BUDGET ROCK WEEKENDER! With SLA, THE ORIGINAL SINS, FLAKES, And oh so much more! Stay tuned for more info! **As many of you know and some don't, Forrest Bartosh the fine drummer for The Omens had broken his wrist in July which made it quite difficult to hit the skins. We are happy to report that Forrest is all healed up and ready for more broken bones!

The Omens will play the Fox theatre in Boulder on Saturday June 24th. In the meantime the band is off to europe for a last minute trip to the terrific Primitive Festival June 21st in Rotterdam Holland.

The band is also to take in a few dates in Germany and Amsterdam along the way.

Just announced is the participation of The Omens in a fundraiser show for Arthur Lee of the band LOVE. Arthur has become ill with Leukemia. All profits for the show are to benefit Arthur's medical expenses. More details to follow!

The Omens will play the 3rd annual PRIMITIVE FESTIVAL weekender at the Waterfront in Rotterdam Holland June 21st. More European dates have now been added as well. Check back soon for the latest!

New Omens single to be released on Real Gone Records!..

That's right The Omens will shortly be releasing two live favorites the RnB punk "Make It Last" b/w the moody folk punker "Won't Be Ashamed". Whats more the new songs mark the first appearance of new Omens organ player Ela "Elka" Jaszczak who joined the band just before this years SXSW.

Some more shows are in the works. We can't talk about everything yet as much is still to be confirmed but keep checking back to the shows page and here for updated info. We can tell you that The Omens next confirmed show will be May 13th in Colorado Springs.

This months Razor Cake magazine carried a great review of the lastest Omens record: THE OMENS-DESTROY THE ESP -Denver, a bubbling musical hot spot long before theme park Elitch’s moved and the squatter-infested train station was turned into the center of civic pride, spews out the Omens’ sneering, stripped-down garage punk the way it all started. The Omens are back in the garage despite some setbacks along the way. Michael is recovering from crashing his head after falling off his Hog, Matt is enjoying his new Gretsch Bass immensly and Forrest continues to live the life of a Tax exhile, So what else is new you may ask? Plenty. The latest release finally hit stores in late September and can now be purchased everywhere. The band has written and is working on a slew of new material that everyone is excited about. Some shows were cancelled and promises broken but things are back on track for the New Year. Get Ready to Shake "IT" with THE OMENS!
