The Omens are TOPS for 2006 according to the Rocky Mountain News. TOP ROCK AND ROLL BAND 2006 Why it's tops: The formula is simple: Take neck-snapping guitar riffs, add howls, fat drums and a menacing organ. Mix, then rock. The Omens read the recipe. This foursome takes elements of some of the best early garage rock (Stooges, Question Mark & The Mysterians) marries them to a hedonistic snarl and turns the volume knob past 11.

June 12th 2007...Catch the Omens as they run through the Pacific Northwest in July!! Before that they will play the WESTWORD Music Showcase on Saturday May 16th in Downtown Denver. The band goes on just before Dinosaur Jr. on the Acoma stage. Details at Eleven so in the meantime turn it up eleven!!

The July issue of NERVE magazine will feature a steamy interview with The Omens be sure and check it out. In the meantime REAL GONE Records is hard at work with the production of the bands latest single and a REMASTERED REISSUE of the original Destroy the ESP release.

Well Well Well!, A few local Colorado shows coming up including a Friday the 13th(October) show at The Irish Rover. The Rover has laid down the gauntlet for the band to perform their own brand of traditional drinking songs so this will be one to remember.

The Omens have a new single coming out in a few weeks and then a trip off to San Francisco for the 5th Annual BUDGET ROCK WEEKENDER! With SLA, THE ORIGINAL SINS, FLAKES, And oh so much more! Stay tuned for more info! **As many of you know and some don't, Forrest Bartosh the fine drummer for The Omens had broken his wrist in July which made it quite difficult to hit the skins. We are happy to report that Forrest is all healed up and ready for more broken bones!

We'd Also like to say goodbye to Arthur Lee of LOVE. The Omens will headline the Fox theatre on Saturday June 24th. The band is off to europe for a last minute trip to the terrific Primitive Festival June 21st in Rotterdam Holland.

The band is also to take in a few dates in Germany and Amsterdam along the way.

Just announced is the participation of the band in a fundraiser show for Arthur Lee of the terrific band LOVE. Arthur has become ill with Leukemia. All profits for the show are to benefit Arthur's medical expenses. More details to follow!

The Omens will play the 3rd annual PRIMITIVE FESTIVAL weekender at the Waterfront in Rotterdam Holland June 21st. More European dates have now been added as well. Check back soon for the latest!

New single coming out on Real Gone Records!..That's right The Omens will shortly be releasing two live favorites the RnB punk "Make It Last" b/w the moody folk punker "Won't Be Ashamed". Whats more the new songs mark the first appearance of new Omens organ player Ela "Elka" Jaszczak who joined the band just before this years SXSW. Some more shows are in the works. We can't talk about everything yet as much is still to be confirmed but keep checking back to the shows page and here for updated info. We can tell you that The Omens next confirmed show will be May 9th with Bob Log in Denver. This months Razor Cake magazine carried a great review of the lastest Omens record: THE OMENS-DESTROY THE ESP -Denver, a bubbling musical hot spot long before theme park Elitch’s moved and the squatter-infested train station was turned into the center of civic pride, spews out the Omens’ sneering, stripped-down garage punk the way it all started. The Omens are back in the garage despite some setbacks along the way. Michael is recovering from crashing his head after falling off his Hog, Matt is enjoying his new Gretsch Bass immensly and Forrest continues to live the life of a Tax exhile, So what else is new you may ask? Plenty. The latest release finally hit stores in late September and can now be purchased everywhere. The band has written and is working on a slew of new material that everyone is excited about. Some shows were cancelled and promises broken but things are back on track for the New Year. Get Ready to Shake "IT" with THE OMENS!

Sept 11th

Way busy lately. The new full length release by The Omens "DESTROY THE ESP", is definately making the rounds now and getting some great reviews and solid airplay at some of the cooler radio stations throughout the USA as well as reports of airplay in FRANCE, NETHERLANDS and SPAIN this last week! We love you University of ST. CLOUD! As a result the band members ego's have increased to such a point that they're all working on their own respective solo projects now. Nobody is divulging any secrets at this point but it is rumoured that Greg is working on a tribute to the Ohio Express using only the pan flute?! Stay tuned! A big Thanks to everyone involved with the DESTROY THE ESP record release party. It was definately a good time! Special thanks go out to Lindsey Kuhn and fab DJ Patrick Robinson and we can't forget BUCKET, Jim Yelnick, The Symptoms and Machine Gun Blues, Scott Campbell, Jason Heller, Rick Baca, Milkman Dan at radio 1190 and about a million other people. Thanks to each and everyone of you who made out to this special show!!

The band will be making a run to Las Vegas on Saturday August 13th with Alaska and the reformed Dinosaur Jr. and then will return to the Climax Lounge August 20th for another great show in Denver with Thrill City Killers, Machine Gun Blues and Call Sign Cobra so be sure and catch this show!

July 13th

We are getting info that The Omens latest record release "DESTROY THE ESP" is getting airplay on some of the cooler stations in the USA! Boulderites and those living in Denver be sure and tune into Radio 1190 at 9:30 Tuesday July 19th to hear The Omens converse and inhale copious amounts of java with none other than Dan the Milkman! Dan has promised the band a hefty amount of caffine in exchange for the latest dirt on The Omens. Also thanks goes to KVCU where the band has been hitting #2 on their CMJ charts for the second week in a row! Wow?! The record release show for the Omens will be Saturday the 22nd of July at the Larimer Lounge and promises to be a great night with the deadly grooves of Dj PBR, Go Go Gurls, The music of the Symptoms, Jim Yelnick, The Machine Gun Blues and The Omens as well as a screening of Die Skate or Die! As if that was not enough, There will be a sale showing by legendary poster artist Lindsey Kuhn earlier in the evening. Free Keg of beer for those who arrive at 5pm when the show starts!

Also be sure and pick up the new Diggie Diggie Dead Compilation from the Dallas Rubble Records label. Limited to 500 double vinyl lp's and 1000 cd's it features the music of some great bands including but not limited to: The Ravens, The Hotrails, Goggle-A, Reverend Beat Man, Deadites The Omens and MORE!!!

July 1st, 2005-Latest News.

The Latest news on the street has The Omens providing support to none other than none other than J. Mascis and Dinosaur Jr. on certain West Coast dates next month!! Details are still being worked out but what is certain is that the Omens will once again be traveling up the West Coast in mid August in support of their new record. Dates will be announced on the shows page of this site once they become available.

The release of the latest Omens record entitled "DESTROY THE ESP" will be kicked off July 22nd. In Denver at the Larimer Lounge. The party is being presented by RADIO 1190 and is shaping up to be a knockout with a rare and great showing of the poster art of Lindsey Kuhn and Swamp Co. As well as knockout Dj's spinning the finest Garage, Mod, Pop, Punk and Blues sounds all night long. If that isn't enough there will be free food FREE BEER for those that get to the Larimer Lounge early and record giveaways by Hipsville International Records! The festivities will get started at 5pm so make the scene!!

The Omens are being featured on the new "DIGGIE DIGGIE DEAD!" compilation on the Dallas Texas label Rubble Records. The new compilation was engineered by two time Grammy winner John Karpowich. Yes that's right John's taken some time off from his work with Santana and the Matrix soundtrack to work with The Omens. We hope John's hearing was left intact! Ha Ha! "Heart Full of Evil" is The Omens track featured on this compilation which is already making news due to the controversial artwork which graces the cover. It also features the way out sounds of the RAVENS, DEADITES, REVEREND BEAT-MAN, THE HOTRAILS and many more so check it out!
